How to get Coupons, and Free samples & make a coupon book (organizer)

PittsburghMomma started this conversation

I was looking for ways to get FREE magazines that have coupons or even just get coupons from brands i use in the mail, because my local Family Dollar and Walmart will not accept Online Printed Coupons. I came across a few places where you can request coupons to be sent to you in the mail.

For about $35 in coupons for many houshold products by Procter & Gamble Use this link (Please allow 6-8weeks to arrive, also you can request these a couple times a year, so hold onto this link): https://www.thepromotionaloffer.com/hmsdrtv/

Use this link to request Free samples and coupons from Proctor & Gamble(you can do this about every 3 months so save this link too.):http://www.pgeverydaysolutions.com/pgeds/pg-brandsaver-samples-coupons.jsp

As I locate more and test them to be sure they are legit, I will add to this Post.

Also February 27th, 2011 in the Sunday Paper Procter & Gamble is including a coupon book with up to $131 worth of coupons. So if you dont get the sunday paper this might be the time to go to your local corner store and pick up 2. Also sometimes those fliers fall out of the papers so ask the clerk if he/she could save them for you.(They arent suppose to, but sometimes you come across a nice clerk that will.)

-------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------------

No you are getting coupons, so how do you keep them organized? Thanks to reading a post from Inspiration on how to make a coupon book (you can view the post she wrote by clicking this link:CLICK HERE), I came up with a cheap and simple way of my own. I had been given a real nice photo album that has a built in folding "brace" (the photo album can sit on a desk so the front can be used like a picture frame.) which I decided sense I dont own a camera and I cant sfford to have pictures developed, this would make a GREAT coupon book. Im sure everyone has a 4X6 or 5X7 photo album laying around not being used, or you can pick one up at a Dollar Tree for $1.00 and most Dollar General or Family Dollars have some for under $5.00, then get some sticky notes (the little strip ones good for book marking) use them to divide your photo album up into groups.(like food, cleaning, ect.)Currantly I am using the method of leaving a space empty as a divider. Well I hope this helps give someone some ideas.

in response to PittsburghMomma...   You are welcome. When Albertson's use to deliver it was great and so was Stater Brothers - the latter you could call and ask what you need to add on to your order.
cheers

in response to PittsburghMomma...   Taco's sound great huh? You are making me hungry as I eat cereal. Try google.com put in Von's online groceries to see if there is a place to order from. It is better to be able like I use to go to many places to get my things. It was cheaper.
Have fun and enjoy the tacos. Have two for me.

in response to PittsburghMomma...   I know the cost of food is high. I looked at meat on line. Too much and even got hamburger meat wanting to make tacos and never got to use it. In freezer. I love to eat bake potato, fish orange roughy. I was eating better at moms but since the move and limited what you can get on line not being able to go to trader Joe's to get milk without chemicals in it.
Mom had fruit trees and avocado tree her and dad did and a veggie garden and strawberries and a fig tree. After she died I grew tomatoes and got this indoor garden thing but mom's house inside was small and no room to set it up. . I know meat is expensive and love to have a steak but can't afford it. Meat has gone up way too much.
See if they have angel food ministries by you.

in response to Starshine...   the cost of food is so rediculous its why America has such high rate of obesity and health problems, and its all because the goverment keeps upping taxes and such, which makes farmers up there prices and so on...which leaves junk food and sugar added foods the cheaper way to eat. When I get to move to be with my family I plan to grow as much as my own food as I can. I havent gone to the store yet this month but January 5th I went to get som hamburg and a lb of lean was $6.70 a pound or fatty stuffy $3.98 and a 5lb. bag of fatty meat was $17.98 and the lean only came in 3lb bags for $23.77

in response to Starshine...   I dont like alot of fruits, and veggies are hard to find here unless you buy them canned or frozen. I cant eat them canned because its a no no in my special health diet. and Frozen Im not fond of unless its stuff like broccli or coliflore, i perfer fresh veggies and up here its almost impossible to get them fresh...or if you can you better use them they day you get them or they will be bad the next day.Thats why sticking to my special food diet is tricky because I cant access all the fresh foods like im suppose to eat.

in response to Starshine...   I like to take a fork and poke little holes in the meat and marinate my frog legs over night in butter & garlic sauce i make, then deep fry them and make more galice dipping sauce to dip them in after they are deep fried.
what is and In & Out hamburger?
When I was in Oklahoma a resturant I ate at had a sign that said if you are offended by eatting pets Please leave...I soon descovered why that sign was there, but still I filled my plate.lol and I have to say depending on how cat is cooked it can taste like pork or chicken.(if it wasnt for the sign saying cat I wouldnt have known thats what I was eatting.lol) Alot of chineese resturants serve pidgion and it taste a bit like pork. Iguana was chewy reminded me kind of like jerky.
Lol. as much as i love trying new and odd food I cant do Monkey or dog. (unless maybe i didnt know.)
Oh I remember now I have had duck & thought it was yucky it tasted greasy to me. and Lamb (i think it was called Muttan) that was yucky too.

in response to PittsburghMomma...   I have never had deer but had squirel , turtle that I spit out and that is about it and quail oh and our pet ducks. Big lie on the later they didn't fly away , we ate them. Dad had to be out of town for business and he didn't want to eat them. Smart. I was pissed at mom later as she said Junior sent them frozen from NE.
oh had rabbit too.

It is really bad when your pets turn out to be food. We left on trip came home our rabbits were gone. Now these rabbits you could not get them out of there cage as it was above the ground. Later mom told us Betty and her husband took them and ate them. Oh well raised on a farm kind of like mom was not a bad thing to eat the animals. But it hurt me that my rabbits were gone plus Bobbie and Tippy my ducks. I didn't have a fit over it but didn't like the deception. I guess we needed food.

Have great weekend. If only I can sleep good at night.

in response to Starshine...   Ive never been to Nebraska and I dont know my great uncle too well, but listening to him talk always fasinated me.He refuses to shop in a store, he barters and trades for things he needs, he reminds me kind of Grizzly Adams/People from Little House on the Prariey. My uncle gathers up wild mushrooms, he eats all wild animals, he gathers leaks, and certaine flowers,he fishes, and catches crawldads. He has a neighbor that raises cows where he goes to get milk, and he grows a small crop of mixed things mainly things to feed his piggies and chickens. My grandma says she isnt sure why he does what he does its not like thats how he was raised exactly, and he has money so its not like he cant sfford to live better. She said he lives in a shack with a outhouse, very rustic.Im glad I listened to him when he would come visit when I was younger. His stories help trigger memories that have helped me survive being homeless. My great uncle is an amazing man, anytime I ever ask him why he lives so rustic, he says he loves nature, enjoys keeping close to it & and Mother Earth gave us MANY gifts we should respect, love and care for them and enjoy them.I guess he is right, I know I perfer the tastey meats grown wild in nature than Farmer food.I think a Deer Roast taste better than a Cow or Pig roast, and a wild turkey taste better than a caged one.

 in response to PittsburghMomma...   Hello
I have a cousin living in Florida and she and her family moved from New York more like Long Island growing up there and hated the snow. They had their bout with the threat of hurricanes when they moved to Florida about 20 minutes from a beach. I hear that it gets hot during the day and it can cool down fast in the winter to the 40's. We get down to 32 low that doesn't seem like much to people where it snows but 32 degrees warming to a high of about 45-50 when it rains. That is cool for California. I had the hoses in the back yard freeze one time.
I like a warmer climate too.
When I got a sore throat I use to gargle with salt water then use this spray to deaden the feeling which was ages ago. But I use vitamin C powder to gargle with as I felt like an ocean inside of me with gargling with salt water all the time.
My mom's family lived off the land when she grew up. There was 12 of them but grandma lost two babies. They had a garden raising their own vegetables and asparagus that was so good. They had chickens and you know what they did with them. Eggs for eating and birds for eating. And the son's, my uncles would go out hunting for food to eat. There was a little store in town but the main food came from grandmas baking, canning and cooking food from the chickens. I ate things I didn't know what I was eating till later. And if my sister and I learned about what they were serving, we opted for something else. It was an interesting visit when we were young. And it was cold without the snow back there during October in Nebraska when we visited them. I did not get to know my grandparents long as they passed on early before we were teens.
Take care
Starshine
I hope you can get back to Florida one day soon.

in response to PittsburghMomma...   I hope you get out of the negative temps too. And see if there is a free clinic in case you need it for your sore throat. We will have about 48 low then Sat. high 80. I will go sit in the driveway for sun or the neighbors deck they have to get some sun.
Anything is better than minus degrees. I would be bundled up too to keep warm.
I got a card from my cousin in Nebraska showing the way the weather back there looks. Snow all around the place they live at. Too cold for me. She made the card off her computer and said I bet you are glad you live in California. Yes, I am glad I am here. I will have to call her.
We will get rain by Wednesday and 2 inches on Friday. But we need the rain.
Stay warm there.

in response to PittsburghMomma...   They are great inexpensive ways to hold school supplies and other things. Love zip lock bags. When I went to school I tried those regular ones to hold pens and pencils but always put them in my purse as it made it hard to write in the notebook for class as there always be this bumpy part interfering with my writing.
High school was a long time ago for me and there were not a lot options for notebooks just a blue notebook that had a pencil holder in it.
Being in high school was less complicated than life later. I loved school not high school so much but junior college when I got to take classes that interested me.
I hope you have a great weekend . We are due for rain at the end of the week.
Stay warm back there in PA.

in response to Starshine...   I love zippy bags they can be so multi-usefull. when I was in highschool I would use they large zippy bags for report covers, and smaller ones I would put my pens & pencils in then whole punch them so I can put them in my binder. They were great inexpensive school supplies.
